A fresh new look

Youth Wellbeing Project decided that a brand new year was all the reason we needed to morph from one season to the next and celebrate with a fresh look. Our new design compliments the logos of BODY and RELATIONSHIP IQ programs. The circle symbolises a never-ending continuum of learning about sexuality throughout life, within the context of balanced boundaries. Red remains our core colour, with differing hues representing love, light and passion. Two people connect at the heart and face-to-face: the underpinning of healthy sexuality and essential for young people to master in order to thrive in life and build healthy communities.

Independent Review of ‘All of Us’ Safe Schools Resource

At the request of many people I am in contact with, I have taken the time to review the Safe Schools Coalition All of Us Curriculum. The research that I present and the resulting reservations I have regarding this schools resource has been forwarded to Emeritus Professor Bill Louden (conducting the formal review –  University of Western Australia), a selection of politicians, senators and Education Department Ministers and media.

Many types of love..

The word love is bantered around E-V-E-R-Y D-A-Y. There’s an assumption that people know exactly what you’re talking about when you say ‘love’. And whether it’s referring to chocolate, a cultural issue, a plutonic friendship or an intimate and sexual relationship, ‘love’ is so widely used. Perhaps it would be in humanities best interest to dig a little deeper to figure out how searching for and expressing a particular love results in various outcomes.
